Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about renting on Rentzy.

Getting started

Is Rentzy really zero brokerage?+

Yes. You connect directly with owners and tenants. We never charge brokerage on any listing.

Do I need an account to browse?+

No — browsing listings and the tenant community is open to everyone. You need a free account to post a listing, post a requirement, save favorites, or chat with owners.

How do I list my property?+

Sign in, then use 'List Your Space'. Fill in the details — our team reviews every listing before it goes live to keep the platform safe.

Safety & verification

How are listings verified?+

Every listing is manually reviewed before publishing, and owner profiles go through a verification step. Verified listings carry a green badge.

Why is my edit not showing?+

Any change to a live listing is re-reviewed by our team before it goes public. The previous approved version stays visible until the edit is approved.

What if I find a fake or rented listing?+

Use the 'Report' button on any listing. Our team reviews reports and takes down anything that violates our rules.

Contact & membership

How do I contact an owner or tenant?+

Depending on their preference you can chat in-app, reach them on WhatsApp, or unlock their phone number with a membership. Contact details stay protected until then.

What does a membership include?+

A membership unlocks a set number of verified contact numbers plus unlimited chat, so you can reach owners and tenants directly.

Can I mark my listing as rented?+

Yes. From your dashboard you can mark a listing as rented/closed anytime, and it will stop appearing in search.

Tenant community

What is the tenant community?+

It's a public feed where seekers post what they're looking for — budget, area, preferences. Only first names are shown. Owners browse it to find and connect with genuine tenants.

Is my information private?+

Only your first name and requirement details are public. Your phone and email stay hidden and are only shared through the contact/chat flow you choose.
